Responsibilities
Tasks
1. Administer staff consultation and grievance procedures
2. Identify current and prospective staffing requirements
3. Provide information or services, such as employee assistance and counselling
4. Provide information or services, such as employee assistance, counselling and recognition programs
5. Prepare and post notices and advertisements
6. Collect and screen applicants
7. Advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment
8. Contact potential applicants to arrange interviews
9. Co-ordinate and participate in selection and examination boards to evaluate candidates
10. Notify applicants of results of selection process and prepare job offers
11. Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures
12. Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures
13. Negotiate settlements of appeals and disputes and co-ordinate termination of employment process
14. Determine eligibility to entitlements and arrange staff training
15. Provide information or services such as employee assistance, counselling and recognition programs
16. Supervise personnel clerks performing filing, typing and record-keeping duties
